Director of Bars
Filippo Sanchi brings over 15 years of experience and a contemporary approach to creative cocktails and classic drinks with a twist to his role as Director of Bars at Rosewood Bangkok.
Throughout his career, Filippo nurtured his curiosity and fascination for different lands and cultures which would later influence his craft as he worked throughout his native Italy, Australia, Japan, China and now Bangkok.
Growing up in a family that owned a long-standing restaurant and café, Filippo was introduced to the art of hospitality from a young age. Ever since then, he learned to make the most of every moment, focusing on what he considers the fundamental aspects of guest service: a smile, the right care, and attention to detail.
Filippo has also worked behind the counters at some of The World’s 50 Best Bars-recognised establishments, including Above Board in Melbourne and Bar High Five in Tokyo, and most recently at Rosewood Guangzhou, where as Bar Manager and Head Mixologist, he designed the beverage menus for the hotel’s four distinct bars.
