Golf is one of the most popular sports in Los Cabos. Here, golfers have a choice of superb courses that allow them to play and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the desert meeting the ocean—a unique and unforgettable combination. There are two Jack Nicklaus-designed courses, one Robert Trent Jones II and a Tom Weiskopf-designed course.

Within easy reach of Las Ventanas al Paraíso lies the magnificent Robert Trent Jones II championship golf course, Cabo Real. The site of the 1999 PGA Senior Slam Tournament, the course is a classic design laid over more than 7,000 yards of verdant landscape with three oceanfront holes. Opened in 2001, the Desert Course at Cabo Del Sol is Tom Weiskopf's first design in Latin America. It has ocean views from all 18 holes. The course is designed through canyons, rock outcroppings, lakes, and waterfalls with holes routed through changes in elevation. Clubs and shoes are available for rent. Yardage is 7,053 with a par of 72.

Course Descriptions

The Jack Nicklaus-designed Palmilla Golf Club features a front 3,337-yard Arroyo Nine and a back 3,602-yard Mountain Nine. With magnificent views of the Sea of Cortez from nearly every hole, the 18-hole, par-72 course has been described by Nicklaus as “designing desert mountains by the sea. The Golf Club at Puerto Los Cabos will consist of 36 holes of exceptional championship golf, designed by two of the biggest names in golf: Jack Nicklaus will design the back nine of the Marina Course and Greg Norman will design the front nine of the Mission Course. The best time to play is in the morning; however, the afternoons are preferable for amateurs as there are fewer players and more time to practice. The concierge at Las Ventanas will be happy to assist with bookings. Note: Courses tend to fill up, and periodically some switching around is done to secure tee times.

All reservations must be prepaid by credit card and require a contract to be completed to confirm tee times. Proper dress required on all courses: collared shirts, appropriate shorts, golf shoes; no tank tops or t-shirts. Cancellation is required 72 hours in advance or full green fees will be charged. Rates vary per course and time of day.

Two championship courts offer a hard surface and excellent lighting so you can play in the cool evenings. Las Ventanas is known for its special touches that delight guests, and the resort's pampering is offered on the courts, too.

At Las Ventanas, our goal is to provide personalized tennis activities for your enjoyment. Simple teaching concepts, and an emphasis on fun are integrated into all programs and applicable to all playing levels. Private lessons start at USD135 + Tax per hour.
