Afternoon Tea
Sense of Ramayana Afternoon Tea
1 Sep to 30 Nov
Discover your element and immerse yourself in the epic tale of Ramayana with a new afternoon tea co-created by renowned Thai jewelry designer Sarran Youkongdee, together with Rosewood Bangkok’s Executive Pastry Chef Dustin Baxter and Executive Sous Chef Frank Wackerhagen.
An extension of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ A Sense of Place philosophy that weaves the ethos of each destination into the identity of the property, the Sense of Ramayana Afternoon Tea highlights six elements styled after main characters in the Ramayana epic: Rama (Wood), Suvannamaccha (Water), Hanuman (Wind), Ravana (Fire), Sita (Gold), and Mandodari (Earth). Guests find out which element best represents them, before embarking on a personalized culinary journey.
Exclusively for KTC VISA cardholders, every Sense of Ramayana Afternoon tea come with a “Ma-Li Krung” jasmine pin especially designed for Rosewood Bangkok (valued at THB 3,000 and not available anywhere else), which pays homage to the flower Sarran is most associated with, and one the designer feels represents the fragility, strength, delicacy, and power of women.
